Hi all! My name is Michelle McDonald. I am 20 years old and completely sold out for Jesus! This past summer I served up at a Camp Awana, I've been going to for almost 12 years now. When I was 8 years old God captured my heart at this very place. God allowed me to be a Leader of High School girls! This whole summer God poured his faithfulness out on me daily! I've grown so much and I am ready to be the hands and feet of my creator.
I am so excited to see what God has for me out in Swaziland, Africa! Ever since this opportunity arose It has been open door after open door. And when I say open door I mean God literally kicked each door down to show his power through it. Every part of this journey so far I have been able to see glimpses of how God works! This trip is not only affecting me, but the awesome God stories I've attained along the way are capturing the attention of my friends and families. God is doing HUGE things, and I am so blessed to be part of it!
Ever since I could remember I've had a heart for missions! I've been on a few different trips, and there is just something about Missions that just melts my heart. There's something about being out of my comfort zone that excites me. My question is: Why would we need to experience the comforter if our lives are already comfortable? It is those who put their lives at risk and suffer for the gospel who will most often experience the raw presence of the spirits work and power. I want to do just that! I want to show the world Christ's love for them! My heart beats so loudly for Africa. I love these kids, and people and I don't even know them yet!
ย  I think it's safe to say that for many of us this trip is a GIANT leap of faith; whether it be going to a place we've never been to,the amount of time given up, or with a group of people we've never met. Despite the fear of the unknown, God has given me a real peace about it all! My excitement far out weighs the nervousness. And I cannot wait to Jump on the plane on September 8th to explore all God has for me.

Habakuk 2:14 The time will come when all the earth will be filled as the water fills the sea, with the awareness of the glory of the Lord.
